The School Accountability Report Card (SARC) provides data about a school’s student achievement, environment, resources, and demographics. SARCs are updated annually and are a tool so schools can report on their progress on achieving their goals. SARCs can be accessed online using the instructions below. To request a printed copy, please visit your school office. For questions, contact the principal.

• Go to sarconline.org
• Enter the school or city name in the search box
• Click on the school name and then “View Full SARC” on the left menu to review the school’s information
• To translate, select your preferred language in the drop-down menu entitled “Select Language”

All students attending Abraham Lincoln High will experience the challenge of pursuing excellence in academics while gaining an appreciation for the visual and performing arts, as well as acquiring and refining the talents and skills that will maximize their career and educational options.

As the culminating level of the District’s K-12 Academic Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) program strand, Lincoln’s courses facilitate the integration of academics with the visual and performing arts. In-depth programs are offered in choral and instrumental music, art, drama, dance, and theater arts, which provide numerous opportunities for creative expression and cultural appreciation. Lincoln has expanded the art program to include photography, multimedia and media arts which will award students with concurrent community college credit for the capstone courses. Lincoln’s challenging academic courses include Advanced Placement classes in U.S. History, English, American Government, European History, chemistry, biology, Spanish, French, studio art drawing, general studio art, music theory, statistics and calculus. Lincoln has earned the National Blue Ribbon Award; four California Distinguished School Awards; and the Hispanic Magazine and Ryder System, Inc. Top Five Schools of Excellence Award. In 2004, Lincoln received the 21st Century Schools of Distinction Award for Community Partnerships.

Each school in San José Unified annually develops a School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This plan describes the school’s instructional program, the goals to improve student outcomes, and the allocation of resources to support improvements in student achievement. The Schoolsite Council is responsible for developing the SPSA and presenting it to the Board of Education for approval. Visit the school website for information about the SPSA.

The Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of School and Colleges (ACS WASC) is one of six regional agencies that evaluates and determines whether a school has met the educational standards to earn accreditation. The accreditation offers certification of a school’s programs and assurance of a student’s credits earned.

Accreditation is an ongoing six-year cycle where schools demonstrate the capacity, commitment, and competence to support high-quality student learning and ongoing school improvement. Throughout the accreditation cycle, schools are expected to address the school-wide action plan and demonstrate evidence of acceptable student achievement and school improvement.
